If you have type 2 diabetes, the Hays County Diabetes Coalition invites you to their next Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes 5 class series in San Marcos. DWBW focuses on how you can better manage diabetes through nutrition and physical activity.  No doctor's order is required.

Diabetes Education Classes in Spanish

Mario Torres, Patient Educator for CTMC, shared the following info:
Live Oak Community Clinic (LOCC) is having diabetes education classes in Spanish. Patients need to be seen by a provider regularly to make sure their condition is well controlled, LOCC have health providers that follow up regularly with patients. They at LOCC  see all kinds of patients with and without insurance, so everyone in the community will be covered.

Diabetes Coalition Meeting

The next meeting of the Hays County Diabetes Coalition is set for Tues., December 1, 2015, at 10 am, at B&J Pharmacy in San Marcos.  We will evaluate the October/November class and make plans for 2016.  Anyone interested in diabetes education is welcome to attend.

CTMC will host their Diabetes Support Group in their Community Classroom.  The purpose of the support group is to gain support, meet other people dealing with the same condition and advance education about the disease.
